“All Things Considered”
Steve
Hull, Ph.D. presents a day packed with vital information and presented with
their unique brand of humor. The seminar covers a large variety of issues such
as: pasture management/fertilization, ruminant nutrition, parasite
prevention/control, cria/adult vaccinations breeding/birthing/weaning issues,
and many other subjects relating to the latest alpaca husbandry and veterinary
medicine perspectives. This is your chance to tap the brains of an animal
scientist at the lecture and during the "stump the chump"
session! He will also have a demonstration class of restraint techniques, blood
drawing, injections, toenail/tooth trimming, microchip insertion, etc.
New information regularly – this seminar is for new
breeders and experienced breeders!

This
hands-on seminar, focusing on alpaca reproduction, goes beyond the basics.
Combining basic sciences, management and clinical perspectives, this
presentation is designed to provide advanced information on alpaca developmental
and adult male and female reproductive physiology/anatomy. It includes
information on “state of the art breeding” practices, and issues associated with
birthing, weaning and re-breeding.
Also included will be the opportunity to discuss, observe or perform some of the
following techniques: blood draws, using swabs to determine male fertility, use
of the speculum, ultrasound for effective herd management, stethoscopic skills,
use of herbal and other lactation hormones, tubing the cria, use of glucometer,
etc.
Designed to significantly enhance your breeding knowledge, the information
presented in this workshop will enable you to be a far more effective mentor to
new farms and will set you apart from individuals who don’t keep up with
continuing education.
Hands on teaching included, therefore limited enrollment!
Register early – space limited – don’t miss
this opportunity! One day $150 per person.
Both days $250 includes 200 page notebook (lunch included).
Second owner from same farm - $175 only one notebook per farm.
